Halibut Bake

ingredients

serves 2
2 x 8 oz (225 g) halibut steaks
2/3 cup (150 ml) 1/4 pt dry cider
4 teaspoon ground mace
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh herbs

method

1. Arrange the halibut steaks in a buttered baking dish.

2. Mix together the cider, mace and herbs and pour over the fish.

3. Cover the dish and bake in a preheated moderately hot oven 200°C (400°F) Gas mark 6 for 15 to 20 minutes or until the fish will flake easily.
