Danish Apple Cake

ingredients

serves 4 - 6
2 cups (4 oz) 150g dry white breadcrumbs
1/3 cup (65 g) sugar
1 stick (8 tbsp) 4 oz (112 g) butter
8 cups (900 g) stewed apples

for the decoration

300ml whipping cream
redjam

method

1. Mix the crumbs and sugar together.

2. Melt the butter and fry the mixture until golden.

3. Place alternate layers of crumbs and apples in a glass dish, starting and finishing with the crumbs.

4. Decorate, if liked, with whipped cream and a little redjam.
