Beef Rissoles (Keftethes)

ingredients

1.5 kg finely minced beef
100 g finely chopped onion
175 g breadcrumbs
25 g chopped parsley
2 tsp chopped mint
1/2 tsp oregano
2 chopped cloves of garlic
2 beaten eggs
50 ml olive oil
25 ml vinegar
50 ml hot water

method

1. Combine 1.5 kg finely minced beef, 100 g finely chopped onion, 175 g breadcrumbs, 25 g chopped parsley, 2 tsp chopped mint, 1/2 tsp oregano, 2 chopped cloves of garlic, 2 beaten eggs, 50 ml olive oil, 25 ml vinegar, 50 ml hot water
and seasoning.

2. Mould into 20 balls and golden shallow fry in olive oil, drain and serve.
