1. Heat the sugar in a small frying pan, until it caramelises and becomes runny.
2. Arrange the apple wedges onto a plate in a circle and place a cocktail stick into each, so that the cocktail stick faces outwards.
3. Drizzle the toffee over the apple wedges, so each is well covered.
4. Wait a couple of minutes until the toffee has cooled and then serve.
