Savoury Cheese Strudel

ingredients

serves 4
350 g (12 oz) Puff Pastry
150 g (6 oz) grated cheddar cheese
100 g (4 oz) cream cheese
100 g (4 oz) curd cheese
1 egg
chopped parsley or mint, to taste
salt and pepper
egg white to glaze

method

1. Roll the pastry out as thinly as possible.

2. Mix the remaining ingredients, except the egg white, until smooth.

3. Spread the mixture over the pastry.

4. Fold over to make a flattish roll, sealing the edges well.

5. Brush with the egg white.

6. Transfer to a moistened baking sheet and bake at 200°C (400°F) Gas 6 for 20 minutes.

7. Serve hot, with sour cream if liked.
