This has fish in the ingredients! Vegetarian???!?

Although, the concept of vegetarian chopped liver is bizarre in itself, so maybe I shouldn't be too surprised....
Contains mackerel, so NOT vegetarian!

I gave this the lowest rating I could. It should be disqualified as a vegetarian recipe. Vegetarians do not eat fish.
I agree ... NOT vegetarian

What can i say, i'm a head chef at a an award winning restaurant and you all say that vegetarians dont eat fish, you'd be surprised at actually how many do eat fish, alot of these so called vegetarians just dont eat meat and do eat fish, for a chef this can be A)annoying, B)confusing, if they dont know what they should and shouldnt eat then how am i supposed to know!!! In my eyes your either a meat eater or a vegan there really should be no inbetween as this is just hypocritical!!
If (dead animals?)=yes then "not vegetarian!"

Any recipe containing dead animals is nót vegetarian. People who don't eat meat but do eat fish are just non-meat eaters, nót vegetarians. A head chef in an award winning restaurant should know this and not be confused by people who use the term vegetarian as a fashion statement.
About the meat eater or vegan where there should be no in between: maybe the chef should also ban muslims and jews from his restaurant for they don't eat áll the kinds of meat that are available? You're a meat eater so it's all or nothing.... A bit more understanding please.
Vegetarian Society Definition
posted by Jane @ 08:47AM, 3/25/09
The Vegetarian Society regularly runs campaigns to educate people (including chefs!)that if someone eats fish, they are most definitely not a vegetarian and should not be calling themselves one. I get mad at the number of times I'll tell a restaurant I'm vegetarian and then get offered fish. Please don't say "some vegetarians eat fish" because they don't.
Nothing with a Face!

The nice easy way to remember is that vegetarians eat nothing with a face! Or that had a face at one time. The only exception would be a gingerbread man biscui! One quick witted friend asked me if I ate potatoes - why - because they have 'eyes'! There's always one isn't there!
