Smoked Ham with Fruit

ingredients

serves: 5
250 g (8 oz) Parma or proscuitto ham
1 small pawpaw
8 ripe figs

method

1. Ask your delicatessen to slice the smoked ham wafer thin.

2. Peel, slice and seed the pawpaw.

3. Peel the figs just before serving, cut each into quarters from the top without cutting through the base. Open out slightly to give a petalled effect.

4. Arrange one pawpaw slice and a fig on each plate and place rolls of ham on one side.

5. If desired fruit and ham may be arranged on a large platter.

6. Serve with a chilled fruity dry white wine.
