Shrimp or Prawn Chowder

ingredients

1 large onion, skinned and sliced
knob of butter
7 fl oz (200 ml) boiling water
3 medium sized potatoes, peeled and diced
salt and pepper
198-g (7 oz) can peeled shrimps or prawns, drained weight 113 g (4 oz)
1 pt (568 ml) milk
1 tbsp (15 ml) chopped parsley

method

1. Lightly fry the onion in the butter for about 5 minutes, until soft but not coloured.

2. Add the boiling water, potatoes and seasoning. Cover and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are just cooked.

3. Add the shrimps and the milk and re-heat.

4. Stir in the grated cheese and parsley and serve with crusty bread or toast

Just to let you know, in method, read stir in the grated cheese and parsley, although in your recipe, it does not mention cheese, so i used what i thought, and i must say it turned out lovely, thank you.
