Black Cherry Cone Trifles

ingredients

serves: 8
8 cup cornets ice cream cones
150 g plain chocolate, melted
425 g can black cherries, drained
425 g ready to serve custard or cup custard (see below)
33 g sachet Dream topping (no added sugar)
2/3 cup (150 ml) 1/4 pt skimmed milk
8 sponge fingers

accompaniments (you may need these)

method

1. Place the cornets on a flat tray or plate and brush the inside of each with melted chocolate and allow to harden.

2. Whisk the dream topping with the milk, according to pack instructions.

3. Lay a few cherries in the base of the cornet and top with custard and dream topping, decorate with a few cherries.

4. Dip the top of a sponge finger into the melted chocolate and stick into the trifle to finish.

5. Serve immediately.
