Chinese Pork Ribs with Five Spice Rice

ingredients

serves: 2
1 1/2 tbsp Chinese 5 spice
3 tbsp soft brown sugar
1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tbsp ground ginger
3 tbsp clear honey
4 tbsp Hoi-Sin sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
500 g pack pork ribs
125 g pack special recipe rice Chinese five spice

method

1. In a bowl combine together the first eight ingredients.

2. Place the pork ribs in a non-metallic dish, then spoon over the marinade.

3. Cover and place in the fridge for 1 hour or overnight.

4. Preheat the oven to 200°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6.

5. Place the pork ribs on a baking tray and cook for 25 minutes.

6. Meanwhile cook the rice as per pack instructions.

7. To serve: Pile the rice onto individual plates and top with four ribs.
