25 g (1 oz) packet thick onion soup mix
1 1/4 cup (1/2 pint) 300 ml milk
2/3 cup (150 ml) 1/4 pt fresh double cream (heavy cream)
2 oz (50 g) ham, chopped
142 g (5 oz) natural yogurt
2 oz (50 g) Caerphilly cheese (mozzarella or Scmorzel cheese), grated
green olives, sliced, to garnish
1. Make up the soup following the packet instructions but using 300 ml (1/2 pint) milk. Allow to cool.
2. Whip the fresh cream until softly stiff and stir in the soup, ham, yogurt and cheese.
3. Chill well. Decorate with olives and serve with a selection of savoury biscuits, crisps and sticks of carrot and celery.
