Homemade Lemonade

ingredients

serves 2
3 large lemons
1 cup + 2 tbsp (225 g) sugar
4 fl oz (125 ml) water

method

1. To make the lemon syrup, grate the rind of 1 lemon and place in a saucepan together with the sugar and water.

2. Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved, then boil for 5 minutes.

3. Leave to cool, then add the strained juice of 3 lemons.

4. To serve use 1 measure lemon syrup to 2 measures soda or plain water in a glass with ice.
