Hasty Pudding

ingredients

serves 6
750 ml milk
65 g semolina or sago or ground rice
2 tbsp (25 g) 1 oz brown sugar

method

1. Heat the milk almost to boiling point.

2. Sprinkle in the grain and stir briskly.

3. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the grain is cooked, and the mixture has thickened.

4. Stir in the sugar.

5. Serve with cream, jam or golden syrup.
