Turkish Lamb Stew

ingredients

serves 6
2 lb (900 g) lamb, cubed
1 lb (450 g) potatoes, peeled and diced
4 tomatoes, peeled and sliced
4 onions, peeled and sliced
1 tsp sage, chopped
1 tsp fennel, chopped
1 tsp dill
2 bay leaves
1 green pepper, deseeded and diced
2 cloves of garlic
1.150 litre (2 pt) beef stock
Salt and pepper to taste

method

1. Place all the ingredients in a large pan.

2. Bring to the boil, then allow to simmer for 2 hours.
